We are a Club that is proud of our tradition in Touring and for many years we have talked about arranging a larger Tour rather than Touring the UK and Europe at Easter. The Club has now made a decision that we will go global and in 2013 will be Touring to South Africa. A great deal of work has been done in selecting the destination and ensuring it is the most attractive option for Club Members. We have looked at various Overseas Touring Destinations outside Europe including Argentina, USA, and Canada, but decided that South Africa was the best destination to Tour for a number of reasons.

The current details are as follows:
Where ? - Cape Town and Durban in South Africa
When ? – July 2013 – Departing on the 25th or 26th, which is the first week of the school holidays.
How long ? – 8 or 9 nights
How much ? – £1650, which includes Flights, Accommodation, Transfers, Rugby Matches, Tour Guides, Excursions, and Payment Protection, however, the final cost will depend on the number of people who go on Tour.
Who ? – the Tour is open to all Full Club Members and Members of the Youth Section from Under 14’s upwards as of season 2012/2013, but they must be accompanied by an Adult
How ? - we have agreed that a Tour Operator will play a major part in organising the Tour as this is our first experience of an overseas Tour. They offer 24 hour support and 24 hour emergency cover plus tour guides. We have contacted three separate Tour Companies for competitive prices.
Easter Tours ? – we intend to have Easter Tours in 2012 however the Big Tour will replace the Senior Easter Tour in 2013 as the official Tour that year.

You will be expected to make a Standing Order to pay £65 per month for the next 25 months, starting on the 1st June 2011, to show your commitment to the Tour and to help you spread the cost.

At this stage we can only set out the principles of the Tour but we will try and involve those signed up to go on Tour in agreeing the final details.
