BILL McSWEENEY DIES
It is with great sadness that the club has learned of the passing of former first team fly-half Bill McSweeney on Tuesday.
President Chris Phillips said: “He was the first team fly-half in the early days when the club was based at Woodford, before relocating to California in 1968. Bill was very much a running fly-half and he was also a strong tackler.
“He was a man who never forgot his roots and, whenever he was in England, he found time to come to the club to watch some rugby and have a pint.”
The club would like to pass on its condolences to all members of the McSweeney family.
