(Sunday February 1) The U16s continued their rich vein of form after lording their away friendly against Romford & Gidea Park 71-19 at Crow Lane.
Despite losing to the same side earlier in the season, the visitors clicked into gear very early in this game, having scored three tries in the opening six minutes, and, by the end of game, they had claimed 11 touchdowns in all.
For the record, fullback Patrick and winger Sammy each claimed a hat-trick, with hooker, Matteo, landing a brace of tries. Second row Hayden, backrower Liam and centre Donie also crossed.
Patrick was also in fine form with the boot, having been successful with eight of his 11 kicks.
Our special reporter, David 'Fleet of Flames' Howley, will provide a more in-depth report on the game later in the week.
Top of their division, the U16s now have a crucial away league game against Welwyn in their sights.
(The U13s) The U13s proved similarly very productive on their travels after dominating Hampstead in a friendly played at the Heath Extension.
(U12s) There was good news from west London where the U12s wrapped up their Middlesex grading matches campaign with very positive wins against hosts Chiswick and Hackney.
(Senior Academy) The Senior Academy were the subject of a late fixture change, but despite this they were far from disgraced after going down 34-19 in a friendly to the two divisions higher Verulamians at Donkey Lane.
Still with an outside chance of winning the Herts-Middlesex Division Five title, the hosts scored three tries, with Celestine and Emmanuel (two) both crossing the whitewash. Ben and Emmanuel added the conversions in an entertaining game.
This game will be subject of a full report later in the week.
(Enfield Tigers) The Enfield Tigers U16s beat a combined a Harpenden/Stockwood Park side 39-33 in a thrilling encounter at Donkey Lane.
However, there were losses for the U12s (43-10) at home to Eton Manor, and the U14s away to Basildon.
The Enfield Tigers U14s failed to mirror their first-half endeavours in the 43-10 home loss to Eton Manor.
The Tigers played some excellent rugby in the first-half and tries by Amber and Roisin gifted them a deserved 10-5 lead, but they were unable to sustain their efforts in the second period which was dominated by the very well drilled visitors.
The Enfield Tigers U12s clustered with Woodford but they were ultimately well held by a very good Basildon side in Essex.
