(Feb 2) The Academy Side suffered a 24-10 reverse in their away league game against Hitchin.

The U16s mounted a sterling fight back in their away friendly against Aylesbury and they almost snatched it at the death, but a penalty to win the game was alas hooked wide and this consigned the visitors to a 12-10 defeat.

Cassius and Jayden both crossed for Ignatians.

(Feb 1) The games between ENFIELD IGNATIANS and Tabard have often been close and this was no different, although the visitors had to console themselves with a losing bonus point in the wake of the 15-11 defeat at Cobden Hill (Feb 1)

Ignatians claimed their only try in the first half via Frank Antwi and, although trailing 8-5 at the break, they levelled matters early in the second-half when the Lavender Hill Garage Man of the Match Paul Duke (pictured) stroked over a penalty.

A rare defensive lap let Tabard in for their second-try and, although they lost captain Euan Renny to the sin-bin, they continued to attack, with Duke landing a second penalty around ten minutes from time.

Despite their attacking momentum and having their fair share of territory and possession during the game, a lack of a cutting edge prevented the visitors from claiming that all important second try.

The result keeps Ignatians rooted to eighth place in the Counties Two Herts Middlesex table, with Wasps next up on February 15.
