The twos, buoyed by their last gasp win against Old Grammarians, followed up that confidence booster with a 25-20 home win against Cuffley at Donkey Lane.

However, a Cyprus team featuring winger Hadee Fayaz and 'finisher' Fadee Fayaz, played second fiddle to a strong Malta outfit in the Conference One South Pool game, with the vsitors going down 41-24 at the Hibernians Stadium, Paola.

The damage was done in the frst-half when Malta rocketed into a 22-0 lead.

However, Cyprus came back strongly on the scoreboard in the second-half.
