(U13s) The U13s fielded two sides and Team One gave a good account of themselves by finishing sixth (out of 28 teams) in the Herts County Tournament played at Old Albanians RFC, Woollams, last Sunday (March 17).

Team Two were fourth in their pool in what proved a very long day and one blighted by some terrible weather. So it was no surprise than that quagmire conditions were the order of the day in the last few games.

Coach John Georgiou summed up: “Tournament rugby is fast, exhausting and highly competitive. It takes a lot of resilience and focus, and relies heavily on working hard for each other as a team. Everyone did the club proud, putting their bodies on the line and giving their all.”

(U14S) The U14s had a profitable away day (March 17) at Letchworth following a 24-12 win over the Hertfordshire side on Sunday.

(U15s) However, the U15s ended their Herts-Middlesex Division Four campaign on a losing note (March 17) after succumbing 43-10 away to Dunstablians. Tommy and Jayden scored for the visitors.

(GIRLS) The Enfield Tigers U14s pushed their Welwyn counterparts all the way. However, in a really close fought game (March 17), they were shaded 17-15 by their opponents. Still, a very good effort.

(SENIOR) ENFIELD IGNATIANS left the Hobbs Way arena with their heads held high after delivering a wonderfully combative performance which characterised the 32-12 loss to Welwyn on Saturday (March 16).

Trailing 15-0 at the break, Ignatians moved to within two scores of the home side’s lead following tries from Euan Renny and Matt Georgiou (converted by Carl Asare-Anderson), before Welwyn put the game to bed by adding two further tries late in the day.
