COUNTIES TWO MIDDLESEX (SHIELD)

OLD MILLHILLIANS 5 ENFIELD IGNATIANS 19

Enfield Ignatians have hit the ground running in the Counties Two Middlesex (Shield), having added to their win over Finsbury Park with a 19-5 away win over Old Millhillians.

The try scorers were Frazer Briers, Henry Sibley and Daniel Shaw. The latter also added two conversions.

Given that Finsbury Park beat Actonians, our rivals on March 21, which also coincides with a President’s Lunch, Ignatians are currently top of the league ‘Shield’ competition, having accumulated nine out of a maximum possible ten points to date.

All four teams in the Shield will play each other on a home and away basis.

A full report will be published in due course.
