MARCH 8-9: DAN SHAW IS THE LAVENDER HILL GARAGE MOM/U15s win/U16S

(JUNIOR: SUNDAY MARCH 9 ) Very little fazes the U15s at the moment and they continued their excellent run of form following a 47-10 win over Weston in a friendly at Donkey Lane.

The try scorers were Chenitha (2), Josh (2), Cian (2) and Harry H.

Harry H added three conversions, with Ollie (two) and Harry D-L also proving productive in this area,

The U16s, meanwhile, squared up to Barnet in an away friendly at Byng Road. It ended in a 27-20 defeat but the visitors played some rugby, having scored four tries via Cassius (two), Jayden and Adrian.

Cassius was the Man of the Match.

Full reports on these games will be published in the relevant age group sections of the website.

(March 8) ENFIELD IGNATIANS were back on song after their March 1 blip, and the hard-fought 29-24 away win against Barnet Elizabethans proved a double bonus, as it lifted the visitors a couple of places to sixth in the Counties Two Herts-Middlesex hit parade.

In a hard-fought game - and a fine advert for league rugby- Ignatians bagged all five points, having crossed the whitewash via Frazer Briers, Frank Antwi and the Lavender Hill Garage Man of the Match Dan Shaw (PICTURED). They were also awarded a penalty try.

Paul Duke added two conversions - the penalty try came gift-wrapped with the automatic conversion – and a penalty.

It was also enabled Ignatians to avenge the 17-5 loss to the same opponents in November.

A full report has been published in the relevant match reports’ section.
