(NOV 30) The Senior Academy side carried too many guns for Hampstead (clustered with Hackney) after dominating the Herts-Middlesex Colts Division Five league game 54-0 at the Heath Extension.

Although for official purposes, the final result will be recorded as 50-0.

Adding to the hard-fought draw against Aylesbury, the visitors were out of sight at the interval after charging into a 35-0 half-time lead, and although progress was slower after the break, the result was never in doubt.

A full report on the game will be eventually published in the relevant team section.

(U16s) The U16s continued their winning spree after mastering their away friendly against Old Verulamians 37-19 in Hertfordshire.

For the record, the visitors’ scorers were Chenitha (two), Ciaran (two), Daniel, Sammy and Donie. Patrick added a conversion in contest played over three periods of 20 minutes and which was very much a development game as

Chenitha was the Man of the Match as determined by the opposition, and it speaks volumes for the team's expanionist approach that five of the seven tries were scored by wingers.

It is also believed that was Daniel's first try in club colours.

Head coach Steve Corcoran said: "We originally had a squad of 26 at our disposal but we eventually travelled with 19 players as some of the boys had mock exams.

"Next up is a friendly against Old Cooperians (away) on Sunday, and after this will be turning our attentions to an important league game against Saracens B at Bramley Road."

(U13S) The U13s were similarly on song in their friendly against Hemel Hempstead at Donkey Lane.

Although the results aren’t officially recorded in line with county protocols, Ignatians just about shaded the first-half before pulling clear after the interval.

Well done to both teams. Both served up some good rugby and no doubt both will progress and get better in the months ahead.
