As part of the Club’s 70th Anniversary Celebrations we invited all current and past members of the Club to nominate all or some of the 15 players to make up the Platinum Team, along with a nomination for the Platinum Player, with a justification.

The only players considered for inclusion in the team were those nominated. Some players were nominated in more than one position.

An “Expert Panel” confirmed the top 3 nominations in each position and from these the Platinum Team; then the top 3 nominations for the Platinum Player and the overall winner. The selection was principally based on the number of nominations received, then based upon a criteria agreed by the Expert Panel and included the length of the player’s career, their successes, including where applicable their scoring record, and level of skill shown
