Just a quick reminder to let members know that the first President’s Lunch is just around the corner, and the date to pencil in is October 30. It will be the first of in-coming president Kevin Linnane and we also have a home game against Grasshoppers.

These are invariably splendid occasions as we reconnect again with old friends and commemorate the late Chris Gill.

HUGH FALLON, a great supporter of the club, is back in town as he has taken over as the new landlord of The Three Wishes pub in Winchmore Hill.

Many will remember Hugh as the landlord of the popular Palmers’ Green watering hole The Inn on the Green, where many a good night was had by club members.

Hugh will be very pleased to welcome patrons from the club to his establishment, and there’s no doubt that he will soon be making an appearance at the club.

Former first team player DAVE WATTS is enjoying a new lease of life as a thespian, and he will be appearing in the ELODS’ (Enfield Light Operatic Dramatic Society) production of My Fair Lady at the Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar, from October 19 to 23.
