SENIOR RUGBY: NEW LOOK LEAGUE AWAITS IGNATIANS

ENFIELD IGNATIANS will be part of an expanded Middlesex Counties Two Division when the new league season gets underway in September following the decision to increase the number of teams in the division from eight to 12.

The new intake includes Hammersmith and Fulham IIs, who will be the be travelling to Donkey Lane on 12 September for the league opener, and include Hendon, West London and Ealing Trailfinders IIs.

Saracens Amateurs, promoted from this league following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season along with Wasps, return to this level following their relegation from level seven, having been replaced by promoted Hackney.

Otherwise, the league has a familiar ring to it with seven teams which inhabited the division last season all staying put in the form of Ignatians, Barnet Elizabethans, Old Millhillians, Kilburn Cosmos, Finsbury Park, Harrow and Actonians.

Ignatians’ other home fixtures are West London (September 26), Old Millhillians (October 17), Actonians (October 31), Hendon (November 21), Kilburn Cosmos (12 December), Finsbury Park (December 19), Harrow (January 16), Saracens Amateurs (February 6), Ealing Trailfinders 1871 IIs (February 27) and Barnet Elizabethans (March 20).

The dates of the reverse fixtures are Finsbury Park (September 19), Harrow (October 3), Ealing Trailfinders 1871 IIs (November 14), Saracens Amateurs (October 24), Barnet Elizabethans (December 5), West London (January 9), Old Millhillians (January 30), Actonians (February 13), Hendon (March 6), Kilburn Cosmos (April 3) and Hammersmith & Fulham IIs (April 10).
