The all conquering twos had hoped to measure their progress against Tring IIIs. Alas, this dream never materialised as the Hertfordshire side cried off leaving the only unbeaten side in Herts-Middlesex Merit Table Two to be awarded a default 25-0 win.
Captain Andy Roper explained: "Tring had to move a number of players up to cover absences and injuries in the higher sides, and they felt that a weakened side wasn't in a position to step up. However, we picked up a friendly against Hampstead . We stuck to our game plan and ran-in nine tries."
The second row partnership of ex colts, namely Ben Pratt and Man of the Match Jamie Newport, had a field day.
"Ben Pratt came on in the second-half and scored three tries whereas Jamie Newport also did himself proud. He made a number of good cover tackles and his workrate was second to none," added the captain.
Jamie Rawlinson, Dan Jagessar, Andy Roper, Hadee Fayaz and Christian Adofo (twice) rounded off the romp as the twos hit the fifty mark for the second consecutive week.
