After a tentative start, the twos are starting to gel and they added to their Finchley win by giving another assured display away to Harrow. Trailing at the break, the twos were the comeback kings in this game and were deserved victors after outscoring their opponents 4-1 in the tries stakes.
Captain Andy Roper, playing his first game of the season, said: "The team did really well and there were lots of positives. We defended really well and it was good to see a few new faces in the side.We were under the cosh in the first-half but we talked about it and sorted ourselves out."
Harrow were in the ascendancy in the first-half and, after putting the squeeze on in the scrum, they reached the turnaround 8-5 in front after landing a try and a penalty.
Ignatians hung-on gamely and kept their interest alive in this game after claiming a quality try from Seyi 'Shay' Adeosun, whose blitz down the wing enabled him to beat two defenders as the blue and golds stemmed the tide by moving to within three points.
The blue and golds' second-half was a revelation. They eventually adjusted their set-piece problems, and after gradually emptying their bench, they at last had the firepower and the legs to do some damage and were rewarded with three further tries,
Caolan Davey claimed a real backrow poacher's try after picking the ball up at the back of a ruck
and forcing his way over.
Spirits soared further after David Conlan added the difficult angled conversion.
Better was to follow after Ignatians nailed the game with two further scores. Fullback Mike Gorham
and Sean Coyne both successfully went down the wide route, and there was no way back for Harrow
after that.
