

This game went uncontested scrums from the off with the opposition struggling to field a front row,
and it altered the complex of the game dramatically on an forgettable afternoon when the blue and golds were a distant second best.
The opposition tactics were simple enough. For they had no intention of engaging with the blue and
gold tight eight in any shape of form which explains why they hoofed the ball up-field at every opportunity, and their kick and chase game bore fruit beyond their wildest dreams.
At times, Dachworth, despite the filthy conditions, successfully found time to do what they do best: by
successfully playing through the hands.
An off-key Ignatians had their moments. They carried manfully at times with the likes of Stuart Blemmings gaining good yardage. Datchworth, however, were quickly on his case and, with the
collective also failing to fire, Ignatians' aspirations disappeared quickly down the plughole.
