The Enfield Ignatians third team trod a familiar path against Old Albanians, and found that, while it was possible to get away with it against lesser opposition, that clearly doesn't apply against the better teams in the league.

Again, the visitors handicapped themselves by gifting OAs a two try start. However, the blue and golds came back strongly and Phil Sanders continued his rich vein of form by finishing off a pushover score.

The conversion was missed but James Power found his kicking range by adding a penalty as Ignatians trailed 10-8 at the break.

However, the blue and golds will reflect that they could have been ahead on the scoreboard as the visitors looked nailed-on certainties to claim a second try only for Phil Sanders to spill the ball over the line.

It was an even contest for most of the third quarter, only for Ignatians to shoot themselves in the foot after OAs weighed-in with a flurry of points. Captain Bish Galloway later defined this as "15 minutes of madness".

Ignatians then rolled the dice and more than doubled their money in the second-half following tries from one of the top scorers in the team, Chris Byrne, which was converted by Power, followed by a very good individual effort from fullback Matt, but if only they could maintain those concentration levels?
