Hadee Fayaz has been with Ignatians ever since the youth section was relaunched in the 2003-04 season. Having graduated from the U13s to the senior section, where he has played first team rugby, he has been known to keep distinguished company off the field, having visited Number Ten with his school.
The threes are clearly very determined to survive in this league and this was again evident after the team enjoyed a profitable afternoon in Hertfordshire, where they overwhelmed fellow strugglers Cuffley in awful conditions.
Cuffley were the early pacesetters in the previous game between the two sides at Donkey Lane. However, the hosts never got a sniff as visiting Ignatians piled on the pressure by claiming six of their seven tries in the first-half.
A sparkling hat-trick from powerful winger, Hadee Fayaz, underpinned a convincing win and was given added kudos by a try apiece from fly-half Steve Emery, centre Hugh Halford, scrum-half Mickey Piper and Andy Smith, two of which were converted.
Halford, incidentally, was returning to action after a mandatory spell on the sidelines after getting concussion.
Ignatians' front row also marked the return of the promising Luke Ellis. From a 'golden' colts generation that has yielded the likes of Jordan Wilson, Sam Emery and Hadee Fayaz, the hooker, who gave a good account of himself after a hernia operation, is an ambitious player whose rugby education has been furthered during his time at university in Kent.
Acting captain Anthony Clare said: "We completely dominated the game although we were much quieter in the second period."
