Threes Deliver With Interest

The three not only talk a good game but have also perfected the knack of delivery after gaining a priceless away win against Old Albanians IVs at Woollams.

Wotherspoon, having been promoted from the fours following his good showing against Tring, pulled the strings well at ten, whereas, Sanders, in his natural niche at scrum-half, was a constant hive of activity at the base of the scrum. His cultured boot proved more than a useful asset as he added three conversions: one of them from the touchline.

Bish Galloway said: "We steamed into the opposition in the first 20 minutes and they never really got a look-in, although we leaked a second try towards the end. We knew that we had to starve Old Albanians of the ball. It wasn't pretty but if worked.

"Although it’s early days, the threes, in common with the twos, have a real spring in their step at the moment, and will be keen to maintain the momentum in the forthcoming league games."
