Enfield Ignatians IIIs are desperate to maintain their status in Herts-Middlesex Merit Table Two so, for a side that was third bottom at the start of the play, this was very timely shot in the arm.
Handsomely avenging a prior mauling at the hands of the Hertfordshire visitors, the hosts did the damage via their potent backline, with Hadee Fayaz (two), Sam Clarke and Brian Galvin all crossing the whitewash.
Fly-half Micky Burr added a penalty and a conversion in an eventful game in which captain Steve Renny (high tackle) and Paul Horsewood were both sin-binned.
Captain Renny said: "We made hard work of it. There were times when our discipline let us down and there were was one period when we gave away about eight penalties during a ten minute spell. However, our defence was good."
