THREES FAIL TO BREAK DOWN CHESHAM

At the end of the day the league table doesn't lie and an unyielding Chesham IIs, beaten
just once in six prior league attempts, successfully absorbed everything that the visitors threw at them to eventually run-out decisive winners of this re-arranged league fixture.

Hoping to rebound from the Hackney defeat, the threes threw bodies forward in attack, and
despite the concerted pressure exercised by the forwards and backs, unflinching Chesham refused to yield and rebounded of to claim two tries of their own before half-time.

Frustratingly, the second-half from Ignatians' perspective, mirrored the first. For the visitors again camped in the Chesham half for long periods, but the pressure wasn't translated into points, and the more incisive hosts put the result beyond doubt by claiming a third try.

Despite the defeat captain Steve Renny was pleased with his side's effort. He said: "I'm really pleased with the performance against a very well drilled Chesham outfit, and there is better to come from the threes."
