Steve Renny was a reluctant absentee from the Three's side which took to the field against in-form Hatfield, and the lightness in numbers was a factor if ultimately not the whole story in the comprehensive defeat of the blue and golds at Donkey Lane.
Hatfield dominated the first-half and the well-structured visitors established a commanding 30-0 lead, but Ignatians dug-in stubbornly during the second period and, consequently, points were much harder to come by for the Hertfordshire side.
The captain said: "We just need to keep going and get past these tough fixtures in Merit Table Three, and I'm sure the win will come along. Determination and commitment will always shine through."
