Members of Enfield Ignatians RFC have unanimously voted in favour of progressing the RFU Floodlight Project, following a General Meeting held at the clubhouse on Tuesday 20 October.
The decision marks an important step towards installing floodlights on the first team pitch, which will increase training capacity, improve the player experience and create further opportunities for festivals, social events and wider community use.
The project, costed at approximately £80,000, will be funded through a combination of legacy sponsorship, an RFU grant and an interest-free RFU loan.
With the planning application already submitted, the club will now continue working through the necessary approvals and funding arrangements, with construction provisionally anticipated for early summer 2027.
The Executive would like to thank members for their support as the club continues to invest in its facilities and future development.
