HERTS SUPER VETS FEEL THE FULL FORCE OF THEIR KENT COUNTERPARTS

(OCT 11) A Herts Super Vets team, featuring EIRFC president Stephen 'Moose' Renny, has been used to pushing sides close, but not on this occasion as their Kent Super Vets counterparts produced a dominant performance to win 92-0 at the home of Blackheath RFC.

In a one-sided contest, the Kent Super Vets ruled the roost from the off despite a brave rearguard effort from the visitors.

Despite the magnitude of the scoreline the club president enjoyed the experience. He said: “ It was an entertaining game. As mentioned earlier, [it was] a tough day at the office against a well-drilled and coached Kent. Our thanks go to the Kent Supervets, [who were also] gracious winners.

“Although a heavy defeat, everyone put a good shift in terms of giving 100 per cent effort. There’s lots to work on and we look forward to playing Bedfordshire Barbarians Supervets at St Albans RFC on Saturday 14th November! “
