(October 23) (October 23) Enfield Ignatians’ indifferent start to the season continued in the floodlit derby against Saracens Amateurs, with the visitors suffering a 48-10 defeat at the Bramley Sports Ground.

Martin Baker, head coach for the U13s, said of the event: “It’s about community engagement and giving the players a different kind of experience.”

The schedule is as follows:

• 18.00 Latymer School v EIRFC U13S
• 18.30 Latymer School v Queen Elizabeth (Boys) School

(JUNIOR October 25) The EIRFC Senior Academy team will be out to maintain their bright start to the season when they host Verulamians in a friendly at Donkey Lane. The kick-off time is 11.00.

Although their first two games got cancelled owing to the hard-state of the pitches, the Academy have made up for lost time by winning their two opening games against Barnet Elizabethans (league) and Welwyn (cup).

Verulamians inhabit the same league as the EIRFC Academy and, in the wake of the 37-12 demolition of Ealing Trailfinders in their league opener, they are expected to provide a stern test to the home team.

(GIRLS: October 25) The U12s will be training on their home patch at Donkey Lane. The start time is 10.30.

The U14s will be taking part in an all-day tournament at Saracens at the Bramley Road Sports Ground. See senior section for the address.
